Intro to Telepsychology Webinar Home Study Part 2

This 3-part one-hour per session will introduce participants to providing telepsychology services in Pennsylvania.
In session one, there will be an overview about telehealth services, current Pennsylvania legislation, one model to start providing telepsychology services, and some basic technical issues. The presentation will also cover some risk management issues.
In sessions two and three, there will be a review of APA’s Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology, including definitions, competence, informed consent, confidentiality, security, and interjurisdictional practice. The presentation will also address ways to market telepsychology services and two ethical vignettes about supplying telepsychology services.

At the end of Part 2, participants will be able to:
- To describe ways to improve your competence at using telepsychology services
- To list two ways that informed consent would be different using telepsychology services
This program will address ethical and practice issues of telepsychology services for novices. We will review the basics of the technological requirements, as well as clinical and legal issues. The program will incorporate APA’s Guidelines for the Practice of Telepsychology.
